We’ve spent the last 54 hours trapped in our home due to the unexpected arrival of some awful virus. But who’s counting?!
We’re all on the mend, we’re all feeling thankful for soup and Gatorade and we are MOST DEFINITELY feeling thankful that tomorrow we can get out of this house and get some space from one another.
I love these five so very much. I adore time with them and cherished an opportunity to stay in jammies, watch too much TV and argue about everything from the temperature of the house to the temperature of the soup. So much opinion in this house.
Wherever did they get it………
Yesterday I had a chance to stay up to speed on the Black Friday deals! I posted several on my TickingTimeMom Deals Facebook page but wanted to give a 30,000 foot overview of some of the best from the day and what deals are available through Cyber Monday…… just in case some of you are finally enjoying your own few moments of peace once sweet little heads are laid to sleep. For ten minutes. Until they need a drink. Or a different blanket. Or to let you know the closet light is too bright. Or too dim. You get my drift.
Without further ado:
If you ever purchase subscriptions for yourself or as a gift, be sure to check out the deals on Magazines.com today!
Sports Illustrated Kids was marked down from $58 to $5!! This is a huge hit in our house and I feel so much better about dropping $5 for an annual subscription given the fact that our youngest is going to turn the magazine into paper shreds within a day of its arrival.
Southern Living is also $5!
They have Us Weekly, Better Homes and Gardens, Family Fun (a great source of ideas for creative family endeavors!) and Traditional Home (a really great magazine that always makes me want to completely gut my home from top to bottom. Matt won’t allow me to get another subscription….)
Black Friday deals include an additional 50% on many selections AND the sale is extended to Friday! Details in ad link below.
Gymboree Children’s Clothing one of my favorite sources for everyday wear for my kids. I can traditionally find pieces on sale and combine it with a coupon. Gymboree’s seasonal styles offer multiple coordinating options so even my newly turned five year old can successfully grab a matching outfit on her own. I made two online purchases in the last two weeks……and now they’re having up to 80% everything plus free shipping sale. May need to just peek at the offerings again…..
Now’s the time to get a jump start on your Christmas cards. I have one dear friend who has hers mailed out by Thanksgiving Day. I know someone else who places the last stamp on her Christmas cards somewhere around January 4th.
Me. It’s me.
The following are few great places to find hot deals on cards:
Mixbook’s Holiday Card Collection 55% off Christmas and holiday cards! They offer a variety of photo cards with beautiful, tasteful designs. I haven’t yet ordered their cards but have several of their photo albums. They are high quality and well made.
I don’t know these people. But they look nice. And with one child in their photo, they seem clearly more sane than Matt and I.
Minted! If you haven’t checked out Minted, you’re missing out! Foil-Pressed Holiday Cards They have beautiful art, gifts and unique options for cards. They’re offering 15% off sitewide through Sunday.
JANE has a little bit of everything. Super trendy styles and affordable gifts for anyone on your list. Here are a few of the items I found to be super cute. Click on any pic for details.

These mermaid blankets have been a hot topic in our house. Our youngest daughter is convinced she needs not only this blanket but “a real mermaid leg outfit.” I’m still not certain what she’s even talking about since Mermaids don’t have legs?!

These kits make ideal gifts! We’ve used both Surprise Ride and Green Craft Kids in our home. These kits provide interactive education, STEM, history and arts based. As a mom of little ones, it’s a great diversion from their first desire which is to vegetate on the couch. Especially in colder months!
Surprise Ride was the first box we used. The kit was Brazil themed and just in time for the Olympics. There was a book on Rio, two hands on craft projects, snack and a game. All four kids participated and had a great time. Obviously, I let the older kids take the lead but even our two year old was able to assist with planting the seeds that came with the Brazilian plant!
They’re offering 50% off the first month subscription with code FRIDAY50 Click the ad banner below for details.
Epic! Creations is offering a great Black Friday weekend deal. Epic! Creations provides a children’s library where you can instantly access over 20,000 eBooks for kids 12 and under.
They are offering 2 months FREE! This deal ends on 11/28.
Last but not least, don’t forget to check Groupon. They frequently update their local and national deals. Yesterday they had PS4 games on sale for $29.99. Today they’ve featured an assortment of tech devices. Groupon also has a range of local hot spots they feature for fun close to home!
Please let me know about any super deals you’ve spotted. These are just a few that I noticed yesterday but I hope they get your creative shopping juices flowing!
